Natalie Hodan’s career blossomed the day she leaped from Milwaukee and landed in New York City. Her strong moral foundation and superior work ethic landed her a job with the Caruso buying office and Natalie’s innate talent - for all aspects of fashion - began to shine.
At the time, Caruso buying office was a “must have tool” - if you were going to be a success in the industry - and Natalie quickly became the “go to person” if you wanted to get it done right the first time. Six years of highly competitive experience gave Natalie a sort of “industry crystal ball” and she began to see that the world of fashion and celebrity was becoming a more and more tightly knit unit.
She made her move and blessed I GROUP NEW YORK with her energetic approach. She hit the ground running; agenting and producing photo shoots for the industry elite. Working with such giants as J. Walter Thompson, Neiman Marcus, Metallica, Alanis Morisette, Vogue, and Harpers Bazaar, she developed strong connections with advertising, editorial and commercial clients. We can now see, with 20/20 clarity, that Natalie was quite correct in her prediction that the “in bed” relationship between fashion and celebrity would flourish. This stands as a testament to her gifted insight and abilities.
Moreover, the biggest adventure of her life had yet to come, it was, after all, “ON THE VERGE”. Yes, that was the name of her company. Natalie created a business that became a well-respected industry player. However, I think a quote from Natalie says it best: “As one of New York's multi line showrooms, my goal was to not only represent designers in the contemporary market, but to educate the designers as to what is saleable in today’s market. This endeavor helped speed the growth of their business. My expertise- in both sides of the business -has established relationships with both the buyer and the designer which furthers their success in the fashion industry and created harmonious transactions.”
The fashion industry has changed dramatically and Natalie now focuses her efforts on retail consulting and wholesale representation. Her motto is simple; “Save time, money, and give them what they want.” Her clients include Rene Ruiz Couture, Queue and Stephanie Fowler handbags. Currently, she is aiding in the launch of a major new brand called Bad Boys Finish First and representing Beyond Yoga by Jodi Guber in the Southeast.
Natalie is currently “hand picking” clients she feels she can most effectively serve. When not in the throes of outlining priceless strategies for her clients, Natalie can be found on a tennis court, yoga studio, or shooting range.
